Pakistan will play their last match of the T20 World Cup 2024 against Ireland on Sunday at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.

It started raining in Lauderhill last night, and the sky was covered with clouds on Saturday as well. The outfield in Broward County is still wet and didn’t dry out completely. It is likely to be more affected by excessive rain.

The match between Pakistan and Ireland is to be played at Lauderhill at 10:30am (local time) — 7:30pm PST.

Two matches — the United States vs Ireland and India vs Canada — have been called off in the last two days in Florida without a single ball bowled as the early morning rain left many wet patches on the field on both days, and the umpires eventually called the matches off.

Moreover, both Pakistan and Ireland didn’t qualify for the Super Eight of the T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan lost to the USA and India in their first two matches of the tournament, which troubled their chances of making it to the next round.

They made a comeback against Canada, but the damage was already done, as the USA just needed one more point to make it to the Super 8 which they got after their match against Ireland was washed out.

The national team's last league game against Ireland will only be a formality, after which the squad will return home.
